Bones, as his nick name is, made his professional MMA debut in 2008. The same year he signed for UFC, and made his debut. His MMA record holds 22 fights, and 21 wins, 9 of them which is by knockout. Jones has been part of several matches which has become instant classics.

Classic Fight

One of them was in 2013 when he faced Gustafsson in a fight for the Light Heavyweight. It’s been branded one of the best fights in UFC history. Jones won that match via a controversial unanimous decision. After the game, he claimed that Gustafsson was his toughest match of his career. Bones has been involved in some controversies. This includes being disqualified due to using illegal elbows, driving under the influence and failing a drug test. The test was done prior UFC 182.

In July Jones made a comeback. And prior to this Jon Jones interview, he had been suspended for over a year due to the use of an illegal substance. He went straight on to defeat Cormier and claimed the title back. However, the 30-year old was after the match yet again tested positive for the use of anabolic steroids. He might be facing a suspension of four years.

Jon Jones claims that he didn’t take the substance by his own will and it was included in an endurance pill he used, which is based on a legal substance.

It’s safe to say he’s a controversial figure, but it sure is good to see him fight!

UFC Fight Night: Shields vs. Ellenberger

Hope you all enjoyed the great night in Stockholm, Sweden with the UFC on Fox: Gustafsson vs. Johnson! During the night we witnessed some truly good fights, and the build up to the main event was perfect! In the end, Anthony “Rumble” Johnson, showed his potential as a top opponent, as he only gave Alexander Gustafsson two minutes of glory before knocking him out. Today however, we are going back to 2011, the scene is Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. In front of over 7 000 spectators, Jake Ellenberger defeated Jake Shields on KO in the main event. The event is also known as Battle on the Bayou, and consisted of 12 bouts. Ellenbergers was awarded Knockout of the night, whilst Lance Benoist vs. Matt Riddle was considered the Fight of the night. Watch some of the great highlights here at ufcstream.com!

UFC on Fuel TV: Franklin vs. Le

UFC on Fuel TV: Franklin vs. Le  aka UFC: Macao was the first ever UFC event held in China. The mma event was held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on November 10, 2012 at the CotaiArena in Cotai Strip, Macau. 2.

The main event was the middleweight fight where Cung Le defeated Rich Franklin with a KO. It was the only KO this evening. Other fights included the Lightweight fights where Takanori Gomi defeated Mac Danzig and the Bantamweight fight between Takeya Mizugaki and Jeff Hougland wher Mizugaki defeated Hougland.

This time you would think it could not suit him better, he will be facing his home crowd, at Tele 2 Arena, in Stockholm Sweden!
